The Cottages
Lake District Holiday Cottages offer 2 immaculately presented comfortable holiday homes located in the heart of the English Lake District, both situated in the perfect location on the edge of the village of Bowness-on-Windermere and only a gentle 5 minutes stroll to the village centre & Lake Windermere.
These delightful homes; Sandown sleeping 7 and Kempton sleeping 6, have fully en-suite ground floor bedrooms, large lounges, elegant dining rooms and well equipped kitchens, not to mention the stunning views. There is free Wi-Fi, plenty of parking at each house and of course we are pet friendly; warmly welcoming a well behaved family dog.
Perfectly Located
Our location is the perfect balance of a central location on the edge of Bowness village and just a few minutes walk to the shops, pubs, restaurants and of course Lake Windermere or just a short walk up the road to Windermere village centre, which also has many more shops and eateries.
Both our properties benefit from nice outdoor spaces for al-fresco dining or just enjoying a well-deserved drink at the end of a busy day. If, during your stay you prefer not to use your car there is a bus stop right outside the front door which will take you all around the Lakes and there are many fantastic tour companies who will pick you up and drop you back home.
A Warm Welcome
Georgie & Mark offer a warm welcome. We live locally and have an abundance of local knowledge for family days out, walking and other outdoor activities as well as all the best places to eat and drink. Mark is a keen mountain & road biker and fell runner so he would be more than happy to share some of his top locations with you if you feel energetic!
We are always happy to answer any questions or make special arrangements for you if you are visiting for a special occasion, so we look forward to hearing from you!
